Grace for week 3: Pray for the grace to rejoice in all things
Reading for Tuesday: Zephaniah 3:1-12 and Matthew 21:28-32
The Zephaniah reading is a promise of blessing and restoration, especially among "the poor and the powerless who seek the Lord in poverty of heart" (Magnificat, p. 198).
"Who will truly welcome God's reign when it comes? Not those who pay lip service to God's will, says Jesus, but those who truly carry it out. Obedience to God is our best preparation for the coming of Christ. Advent is not a spectator sport but a way of life in sevice of the Gospel." (Magnificat p.206)
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven." (Matthew 7:21)

Novena to the Holy Spirit
"Wait for the promise of the Father...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1:5,6
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.
Let us pray.
O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
