Theological Virtue: Love

Theme: The Spirit's love gifts us with Knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
Readings: 1Cor 12:31, 13
CCC 1822-23
1Cor 2:9-16

Let us pray for a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our clergy, for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, on those in training for religious vocations.

Let us pray that God will inspire deep, self-sacrificial love in all marriages, especially those who are experiencing difficulties at this time.

Let us pray for a deeper commitment to love and serve God in our own vocation.

Novena to the Holy Spirit

"Wait for the promise of the Father...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1:5,6

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
