I have chosen you

Grace: to remain faithful in time of trial
Scripture: John 15:18-21 or Ps 119:9-16

"Mary 'kept' the word of God in two ways: by reflecting on it often and by living it with utmost fidelity. Her obedience brought her to the dark afternoon of Calvary and to the bright joy of Easter." Magnificat, May 2010, p. 9

At Mass yesterday, Fr. Pat said that one reason we celebrate the suffering, death and resurrection of the Lord for 50 days is to help us develop a victorious mindset; so that we learn to face trials and adversity with a confident, victorious mindset, knowing that God will give us the grace we need.

Novena to the Holy Spirit

"Wait for the promise of the Father...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1:5,6

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
