When the fullness of time had come...

Grace for the week: Pray for the grace to accept God's will
Readings for Thursday: Gal 4:4-7 & Luke 1:67-79

"'Tomorrow' is the Church's cry of faith as we look forward in joy to the coming of the Lord. Our faith is based on the promise of salvation kept in the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem; our faith is sustained by our annual remembrance of that mystery; our faith is deepened by the years of our preparation for Christ's coming in glory." from Magnificat Magazine p.55

"Our Lady encourages us, on this eve of her Son's birth, never to neglect prayer, which is conversation with Our Lord. Without prayer we are lost; with it we are strong and are able to carry out our tasks." -- from In Conversation with God, vol. 1 p.215

Novena to the Holy Spirit

"Wait for the promise of the Father...you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1:5,6

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit, and they shall be created, and you shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
